Can I change my max bid?

Don’t want to miss out on your dream lot? You can increase your max bid by going to ‘My Bidder’ and selecting your "Current Bids" in live or timed auctions. 

Keep in mind, there are restrictions on lowering your max bid depending on the type of sale you have bid in. This is because placing a max bid is a binding commitment to purchase the item if you're the highest bidder and the reserve is met.

In a timed auction

In a timed auction, you can increase or lower your max bid, but only as low as the current price shown on the lot page. If you'd like to remove the bid entirely, you will need to contact the auction house you have bid with, the bid can only be removed at their discretion. 

In a live auction

You can increase, reduce or remove your max bid before the auction starts. If you change your mind, you’ll can find your active bids by going to My Bidder > Autobids
